Joining a Sydney Social Basketball team with the Sydney Spectres

To play in a Sydney Social Basketball competition as part of the Sydney Spectres, you need to complete two steps before your first game.
Step 1: Pay your season fee
You will receive an invoice via email from revolutioniseSPORT. Payment by bank transfer is strongly suggested and details are included on the invoice. Payment via PIN Payments is available but incurs an unnecessary processing fee.
Your fee is calculated by dividing the total team cost (as set by the partner competition) evenly among all players. The total will vary depending on the competition fee, season length, and number of players on the team, but individual fees typically fall between $140 and $200.
Players who withdraw after committing create a significant administrative burden on our volunteer team managers. If a replacement cannot be found, remaining players may need to absorb the additional cost, or the team entry may need to be cancelled altogether. Please give this careful consideration before committing to join and you may not be eligible for a refund.

Step 2: Register for a Sydney Social Basketball membership
New players must register for an SSB membership at: https://sydneysocialbasketball.com.au/player-sign-up/
Registration is generally around $56. Uniforms are also available to purchase during registration. A jersey is $30 if it is the only item you are adding to your order, or approximately $56 if purchasing additional jerseys. A full uniform will cost more than a jersey alone.
If you are already an SSB member, you do not need to complete this step. If you are an existing member wishing to purchase a Sydney Spectres uniform, please refer to this guide: https://www.sydneyspectres.club/post/how-to-get-your-sydney-spectres-jersey
Please note: A Sydney Spectres club membership is not currently required to play on our teams (as of April 2026), though this may be subject to change.
