​SPECTRES SOCIAL 3X3 BASKETBALL is Sydney’s only LGBTQIA+ community-run weekly basketball competition. It’s designed to be fun, and inclusive. Open to players of all skill levels and genders.
 

How it works

• Format: 3X3 basketball

• Teams: Sign up as an individual and you’ll be placed into a team on the night.

• Games: Expect lots of short, fast-paced games throughout the night.

• Schedule: Every Wednesday night from 6:30pm, running for two hours.

• Commitment: No ongoing commitment - play only when you want. Bookings open up to 30 days in advance.

• Location: Green Square Public School, 3 Joynton Ave, Zetland (a short walk from Green Square Station).

Competition Style

Scores aren’t recorded after games and there are no finals. The focus is on community and fun rather than ladders or trophies. Each week, players vote for the ICON Award from outside their team, celebrating a player's energy, spirit, and fair play.

Fees 
 

• $5 per session for members

• $10 per session for non-members

• Up to 24 player per night (6 teams of 4 players rotating throughout the session).

All genders are welcome, with mixed rules in effect.

Weather Policy

​

The court is undercover, but extreme weather can still affect play. In the rare case of a rainout, players will be refunded.
