3X3 BASKETBALL
League information
SPECTRES SOCIAL 3X3 BASKETBALL is Sydney’s only LGBTQIA+ community-run weekly basketball competition. It’s designed to be fun, and inclusive. Open to players of all skill levels and genders.
How it works

Format: 3X3 basketball

Teams: Everyone signs up as an individual, teams are and balanced on the night

Games: Lots of short, fast games across the 2-hour session

Schedule: Every Wednesday night, 7pm - 9pm

Courts: Two half court games run simultaneously - one for Women & Gender Diverse players, and another for Men & Gender Diverse players.

Location: Green Square Public School, 3 Joynton Ave, Zetland (a short walk from Green Square station)
Competition Style
Scores aren’t recorded after games and there are no finals. The focus is on community and fun rather than ladders or trophies. Each week, players vote for the ICON Award from outside their team, celebrating a player's energy, spirit, and fair play.

24 slots per night (3 teams on both half courts, with 4 players on each team)

Inclusivity
All skill levels are welcome - from beginners to experienced players.
All genders are welcome, with mixed rules in effect.
Weather Policy
The court is undercover, but extreme weather can still affect play. In the rare case of a rainout, players will be refunded.

Choose the court where you’ll feel most comfortable playing - Women's and Gender Diverse or Men's and Gender Diverse. Places are limited, and we can’t guarantee swaps on the night, so please book thoughtfully. You can book up to 30 days in advance.
