Teams across Sydney
The Sydney Spectres run a wide range of basketball teams across competitions all around the city - including those run by the Sydney Comets and Sydney Social Basketball. We have women’s, men’s, and mixed teams at a variety of skill levels, so whether you’re just starting out or a seasoned player, there’s a place for you on the court.
Cost to play in a team
Players can expect to pay an annual registration fees, seasonal competition fees (generally four times per year), and a one-off uniform fee.
Sydney Spectres Membership
$50 or $35
The Sydney Spectres has an annual membership fee of $50, or $35 for players with a Sydney Comets registration. Membership comes with perks and discounts. Check out our membership page for details.
Annual Competition Registration
$53 or $160
We play in both Sydney Social Basketball ($53 p/y) for mixed, men’s, and some women’s comps, and Sydney Comets ($160 p/y) for other women’s competitions.
Season Fees
~$160-$250
$160-$250per season. Seasons usually run 10-14 weeks, and if you play year-round you’ll pay this four times. The exact cost depends on team size and the competition entered. More players means lower fees, but also less court time per person.
Uniform Cost
$88
$88 for a full uniform, or slightly less if you only need a jersey. Uniforms generally last several years. We can sometimes provide a loaner uniform if needed.
