Grading Process

  • One assessor from the relevant program – An experienced club member runs the grading.

  • When – At the start of a season or anytime a player requests it within reason.

  • How – Short assessment during drills or a game, looking at:

    • Ball handling

    • Shooting

    • Defence

    • Game awareness

  • Outcome – Player is placed in the level that best suits their current skills.

What Does a Grade Mean to a Player?

Your grade helps you get the most out of the club by:

  • Training - Telling you which training sessions are best suited to your skill level.

  • Teams - Guiding which teams you should join.

  • Subbing - Letting you know which teams might ask you to fill in when they need players.

  • Progression - A grade way to recognise our players as they get better at the game they love
